Chapman & Associates Attorneys Investigating Alleged Investment Misconduct by Eugene, Ore. Broker

Eugene, Oregon stockbroker James Scott McKee has been arrested for defrauding investors on Thursday, February 9th.

McKee, a businessman and investment professional, was arrested by Eugene Police Financial Crimes Unit on four counts of Aggravated Theft in the First Degree.

Investigation by the securities litigation firm of Chapman & Associates shows McKee was a registered representative of a number of prominent securities broker-dealer firms. McKee also oversaw a number of outside businesses including Quality Financial Group and Ventis Investments.

The Chapman & Associates investigation suggests McKee may have offered to his customers investments in a real estate project. Such investments may have been unregistered.

"Securities broker-dealer firms have a duty to adequately supervise their registered representatives to prevent fraudulent sales of unregistered securities to the investing public," said John S. Chapman, a securities attorney. "We will continue to take action against those firms who fall asleep at the wheel while their stockbrokers defraud the public," said Chapman.

Chapman & Associates is a securities litigation firm that represents investors nationwide in FINRA arbitration against securities broker-dealer firms.
