Baltimore Area Broker Kevin Forrester Admits Fraud

Baltimore County stockbroker Kevin Forrester pleaded guilty last week to charges he swindled 21 investors out of more than $2.2 million.
Forrester, who operated Forrester Financial Group and the Private Funding Group, pleaded guilty to charges of felony theft and fraudulent securities practices, according to the Maryland Attorney General.
State investigators discovered that Forrester raised more than $2.2 million from 21 investors. He told them their money would be invested in the Private Funding Group at high, guaranteed rates. Instead, he used the money for business and personal expenses, vacationing, cars, a country club membership and a $1.2 million home.
